He is a brand & packaging designer who loves good food, 60’s-70’s music, and helping those around him, especially through random acts of kindness.

 

Who he is

Rich is a curious, humorous, and friendly introvert who is a brand strategist, art director, copywriter, and graphic/packaging/web designer working with clients from around the United States. He was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, on May 22nd, 1989, and then moved to the US in 2007 to go to college and stayed. Now, he has one foot in Pittsburgh, PA, and another in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico.

What he does

He solves problems by exploring design solutions that are appropriate for the client’s market as well as synthesizing current trends that steer away from the obvious. Walking the fine line between art & design, he finds ways to inject humanity into his work to keep it from feeling stale or static. His focus is on UX-driven design solutions, brand strategy, identity systems, advertising, and marketing collateral.

 

Why he does it

In his professional opinion, design can aid business and not just by making it look good. Before even putting pencil to paper, the design process consists of conversations that distill what the client/company wants to corroborate their needs. He listens, learns, and researches to find creative solutions tailored to the budget and timeframe. He believes good design adapts to the style of what the market calls for.

When he’s not designing…

Besides staring into the deep blue sea of pixels on his computer screen for 12 hours a day, you’ll probably find him watching live bands, playing music, or exploring the outdoors.
