Branding & packaging design for a conceptual microbrewery
I wanted to explore packaging design as well as build a simple brand that was packed with spirit. So, I came up with a faux beer company that specializes in traditional German recipes and ingredients mixed with Puerto Rican flavors. The idea behind the concept is about paying it forward and unity because one’s strengths are another’s weaknesses. Helping our brothers & sisters with kindness and friendliness while embracing our differences because we’re —ultimately— stronger together.
I wanted to encourage collaboration by playing on the idea of duality & balance, it’s run by two friends. Each’s strengths are the other’s weaknesses. Essentially Yin-Yangs of each other as they balance each other out. Separate they’re okay but, when they work together, they become whole.
Unless purchasing a 6/12/24 pack, when a customer buys a single beer, they would be sold 2 beers. 2Wei believes in the honnor system as a core pillar in their company culture encouraging their customers to share a beer amongst the people around them, strangers or best friends. Charging the customer for half the price of 2 beers. One for them, one for them to give away or pass it along to the next customer. Both parties pay 50% towards sharing a beer (or two) with those around them.
